(As of 2023)<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>When Twitter was most ubiquitous (between 2006 and 2015) it operated comparably smoother compared to other social media platforms. It showed the data in chronological order and displayed the content according to the time it was posted. As Twitter&#8217;s user base surged, there was an excessive amount of content on the platform which led to the development of the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/political_er\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/span> algorithm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The system automatically matches relevant material by carefully taking into account several parameters including engagement rate, user relevancy and the type of post. Brands and marketing firms utilize a range of Twitter analytics solutions to gather this data.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Mechanism of the Twitter algorithm:<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The tweets that you are most inclined to care about are displayed on priority on your timeline. The algorithm considers several factors including the users you follow, the tweets you have liked and retweeted, their popularity, location, timing and how frequently you interact with them. The following attributes make up the Twitter Algorithms.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Home Timeline &amp; Latest Tweets<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Users of Twitter have the option to switch between the Home or Latest Tweets timelines.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>A real-time chronological timeline of Tweets from the people you follow is displayed in Latest Tweets.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Home uses the Twitter ranking algorithm to shuffle posts into what it suggests in a better order.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>To switch between the Home timeline and Latest Tweets, click the star symbol on the desktop or swipe between views on mobile.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Twitter Topics<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Based on what it believes a user will find interesting. Twitter uses an algorithm to suggest topics. When you follow a topic, tweets, events and advertisements related to it will show up in your timeline.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Ranked Tweets<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>These tweets are similar to regular timeline posts appearing at the top of Twitter&#8217;s timeline.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Tweets are filtered based on the user\u2019s interests and are shown at the top.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Sort the pool of other tweets after the trending ones on Twitter.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Recent tweets are displayed at the top of the timeline.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>In Case You Missed It<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The tweets that don&#8217;t show up at the top of your timelines are marked &#8220;In case you missed it.&#8221; These are the older tweets from the accounts you interact with most frequently. According to the relevance score, these are the tweets from your previous visit that you missed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Remaining tweets<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The highly relevant tweets are all distinguished by the Twitter algorithm, which then displays them first. After that, all of the others will appear in chronological sequence so that you can see all of your followers&#8217; most prominent and popular updates.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Customizable Timelines<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Twitter users also have the option to create a custom timeline using Twitter Lists.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>You can pin up to five lists for easy access. Within them, you can toggle between Latest Tweets and Top Tweets, just like in the main timeline.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Tweets from the lists you follow also appear in your Home timeline.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>Trends<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Home timeline, your notifications, search results, and even profile pages all display trends on Twitter. Trends are accessible through the Explore tab on the Twitter mobile apps.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Which topics appear as Trends on Twitter are chosen by an algorithm. Sometimes you can see some context for why a topic is popular, but other times you have to click through to the source to figure out the answer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Remember!!! According to Hootsuite research, Mondays and Thursdays at 8 a.m. are generally the best times to post on Twitter.
